The Faculty of Marine Science and Environment (FSSS) was established on 1 August 2019, a visionary merger between the Centre for Marine and Environmental Science and the Centre for Basic Science. It stands as a hub for world-class academicians in marine, chemical, and biological sciences.
Our mission is to cultivate high-quality local and international study programmes—spanning diploma to postgraduate levels—meticulously aligned with UMT's core thrust areas.
To explore and advance knowledge in all fields related to Science, Technology, and Natural Resource Management through research.
