Entry Requirements

1. Master’s Programme

Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent.
CGPA 2.50 - 2.74: Subject to rigorous internal assessment (interview/portfolio).
CGPA 2.00 - 2.49: Minimum 5 years working experience & internal assessment.
Qualifications via APEL recognized by MQA.
Other academic qualifications recognized by the Senate.

Note: 1-year work experience is equivalent to 0.1 CGPA.

2. Doctor of Philosophy

Master's degree from UMT or institutions recognized by the Senate.
Qualifications via APEL recognized by MQA.
Any other equivalent qualification with evidence of adequate research or work experience.

Exemption may be granted for candidates with academic qualifications from institutions using English as the full medium of instruction (Subject to approval).
Conditional offers: Candidates must pass the English requirement within one (1) year.
Special exemptions apply for candidates from Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, and South Thailand under specific thesis/dissertation conditions.
