Introduction
Our program combines the principles of chemistry with studies of environmental science, providing students with the knowledge and skills to identify and address environmental problems related to air, water, and soil pollutions. This interdisciplinary field emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices and natural resource protection, preparing graduates to pursue careers in environmental consulting, government agencies, research, or other areas. With a focus on practical applications and real-world problem-solving, this degree program equips students with the tools to make a positive impact on the planet and the communities they serve.

STPM
General Entry Requirements
Obtain Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with credits in Bahasa Malaysia/Malay language and pass the History subjects beginning in 2013. Credit for the Bahasa Malaysia/Malay language paper in July can also be accounted for; AND
Obtain at least a CGPA of 2.00 with a grade of C in three (3) subjects, including General Studies; AND
Obtain at least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) according to the validity period on the date of application.
Specific Requirements — STPM (Science)
Applicants must obtain at least a Grade C in one (1) subject at the STPM level:

Biology
Physics
Mathematics M
Additional Mathematics
AND
Achieve a minimum Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from Session 1 of 2021, with the result being valid for five (5) years from the date of its release.
Matriculation (Science or Engineering) / Foundation
General Entry Requirements
Obtain Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with credits in Bahasa Malaysia/Malay language and pass the History subjects beginning in 2013. Credit for the Bahasa Malaysia/Malay language paper in July can also be accounted for; AND
Pass Matriculation-KPM/Foundation Science in UM/Foundation in UiTM and obtain at least a CGPA of 2.00; AND
Obtain at least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) according to the validity period on the date of application.
Specific Requirements
Applicants must obtain at least a Grade C in Chemistry at the Matriculation level; AND
Achieve a minimum Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from Session 1 of 2021, with the result being valid for five (5) years from the date of its release.
Diploma

Diploma Vocational
General Entry Requirements

Applicants must fulfill ONE of the following:
Possess a Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 in a field related to the programme applied for; OR
Hold other qualifications recognised as equivalent and approved by the University Senate; OR
Possess a Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) recognised as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University Senate, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in a Science and Technology-related field;
AND
Applicants must achieve at least Band 2.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from Session 1 of 2021, with the result being valid for five (5) years from the date of its release.
International
General Entry Requirements
Senior High School/Senior Secondary School/Other Certificates from government schools, with a period of at least 11 to 12 years of study from primary to higher secondary; OR
GCE ‘A’ Level examination obtained at one sitting; OR
Any other certificate that the Senate of the University recognises as equivalent to the above.
English Language Requirements
Pass the Test of English Language as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with at least 550; OR
Pass the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with at least 5.5; OR
Pass the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with at least Band 3.

APEL
Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning
Passed the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment conducted by MQA in related fields to be eligible for admission to Bachelor’s level programmes (Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework).
Candidates must furnish the APEL Certificate from MQA before the admission process.
Obtain at least Level 3 (Band 3) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
