Introduction
BSc in Marine Geoscience is a program that aims to provide fundamental knowledge about processes, structures, and features on Earth, both on land and in the sea, which includes various disciplines such as geology, geomorphology, geophysics, geochemistry, paleontology, and so on. It also promotes the latest state of marine geoscience technology that acts as a tool to decipher and solve many issues we face today, including the balance between using natural resources and protecting the environment. The program offers interdisciplinary and sound professional education, and its qualification is a steppingstone to a career in the professional world in public and private industries and academia, locally and abroad.

STPM
General Entry Requirements
Obtain Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with credits in Bahasa Malaysia and pass History (from 2013 onwards).
Credit in Bahasa Malaysia (July paper) is also accepted.
Obtain at least CGPA 2.00 with Grade C in three (3) subjects including General Studies.
Obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) (within validity period).

Obtain at least a Grade C in ONE (1) subject at the STPM level:

MATRICULATION
General Entry Requirements
Obtain SPM with credit in Bahasa Malaysia and pass History (from 2013 onwards).
Pass Matriculation KPM / Foundation Science (UM) / Foundation (UiTM) with minimum CGPA 2.00.
Obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in MUET.

Obtain a Diploma or equivalent recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University Senate; OR
Pass STPM (2018 or earlier) with minimum Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in three (3) subjects including General Studies; OR
Pass Matriculation/Foundation (2018 or earlier) with CGPA 2.00; OR
Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) (2017 or earlier) with at least Jayyid; AND
Obtain at least Level 1 (Band 1) in MUET.

INTERNATIONAL
General Entry Requirements
Senior High School / Senior Secondary School / equivalent (11–12 years of study); OR
GCE ‘A’ Level (one sitting); OR
Other equivalent qualifications recognized by University Senate.
English Language Requirements
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score ≥ 550; OR
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score ≥ 5.5; OR
MUET Band 3.

APEL
Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning
Pass Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) conducted by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for admission to Bachelor’s level (Level 6, Malaysian Qualifications Framework).
Candidate must furnish APEL certificate before admission process.
Obtain at least Level 3 (Band 3) in MUET.
